Why the posts have been light lately.

I want to apologize for the light posting lately.

Here's the reason. As some of you know , Beaker Street has been a part of my life for over 40 years, now. And for part of that time it was a full time proposition.

However, I have been employed at UAMS for 30 years, full time. I perform a variety of tasks there, including video, both shooting and editing, audio editing and recording, and some photography.

UAMS is Arkansas' only medical school, and the home of University Hospital. As you may know, if you want to catch really nasty respiratory diseases, go to a hospital. It doesnt help that I have 5 grandkids underfoot freequently. (Second best sourse for respiratory nasties, school age children) And my wife is a Respiratory Therapist at Baptist Hospital, also in LR.

What this all comes around to, is I tend to get a really rough case of bronchitis around this time of year, that we refer to as "hospital krud".
This stuff takes away my voice, fills my lungs with krud and saps my energy for up to a month. By days' end, it's a major effort just to walk to my car to go home. Once home, about the only thing that sounds worthwhile is sleep. And usually when I'm recovering and finally have a little energy, my wife gets it and I spend time caring for her. (Mostly, trying to make her take it easy and rest.) This, naturally gets in the way of following the news, and posting.

I will be posting more regularly soon, and hopefully the insanity in Washington will ease a bit, and perhaps I can go more into music and other areas besides politics.

To those who find this blog worth a read now and then, Thanks!

Clyde

Oh, don't worry. My wife will tell you I'm too politically minded to stop posting about the rascals and scallywags.
