Yeah, buddy! I 'd be a bit more reassured if the same newspapers who are now 'viewing with alarm' had been reporting in the past, rather than kissing up.
While things may not be completely beyond repair, it is damn late to be noticing that Bush's pants are on fire. I figure that the U.S. will be paying for Bush's malfeasence, and out and out criminal administration for the next 50 years. And the down payment is likely to be a depression of epic proportions.
For a while yet, the Chinese need the U.S. as a market. But at the rate industry is moving off shore, that market will become less and less. Then the debt will come due. Unfortunately there won't be anything but debt left with which to pay the debt.
I'm glad the scales have fallen from some eyes, but it has happened far too late.
